UPDATE : Many thanks to all students who have applied to our scholarship programme. We are touched by your trust on us. 

However as more than 2000 applications were received, there is a slight delay in processing the files.

We hope to get to you soon. Shortlisted students will receive a personal feed-back by SEPTEMBER, 4.

Sorry for any inconvenience that this delay may cause but we are doing our best.

"Ihssan arrived at the Department of Civil Engineering (DECivil) of the University of Aveiro (UA) in 2014. He left Syria and a war that wanted to kill his future. Today he completed his Master's degree in Civil Engineering with the presentation and defense of the internship report he held at Mota-Engil. It had 18 values."

 

In Algarve, Tarek a Pharmacy student at the University of Algarve participated in a meeting with primary school children to share is experience of being a student in Portugal, speak about his beloved country and his dream of going back one day and help rebuild future Syria.

 

"I have been an active member at Coro Misto da Universidade de Coimbra that has been an amazing family to me where we spend our free time doing something artistic and beautiful."

 

"I am really grateful for giving me this opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with academic professors and professionals in my field."

"Expertise, skills, knowledge gained in Portugal will help rebuild your own country", UNSG told to Syrian students.

 

The Global Platform for Syrian Students will attend the Ignite 2016 Conference on "Tackling Instability, Radicalisation and Forced Migration" organised by SPARK in Amsterdam. 

 

"It was a once in a life time experience to meet and compete with business professional teams from all over the world sharing knowledge, experiences and exchanging contacts".

 

GP4SYS participated in the last workshop on "Delivering Higher Education for Syrian Refugees" organised by SPARK, the British Council and Al Fanar Media in partnership with Luminus Edu

 

"As war destroyed lives and buildings in Syria, Alaa had to interrupt her architecture studies. Now a scholarship is helping her finish her degree in Portugal". Read Alaa´s story. 

 

The Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música and the Global Platform for Syrian Students are organising a benefit concert to support syrian students.
