Refugee students and some of the Syrian students supported by the Global Platform for Syrian Students participated in the seminar jointly organised by the Youth Department of the Council of Europe and the Global Platform for Syrian Students on Social Inclusion of Refugees and their role in intercultural dialogue. The seminar gathered participants from youth and refugees organisations across Europe to discuss the challenges that refugee students face in Europe and elsewhere, and ways of addressing them.

The seminar was opened by Deputy Secretary General of the CoE Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni.

The participants were refugee students themselves and representatives of youth and students organisations as well as foundations working with refugee students.

The seminar was organised with the Global Platform for Syrian Students and in cooperation with Kiron - Open Higher Education and Voice of Young Refugees in Europe. It received financial support from CIRCOM (European Association of Regional Television).

Participants gathered their recommendations and conclusions in the following document.
