The Global Platform for Syrian Students (GP4SYS, Portugal), in partnership with Adyan Foundation (Lebanon), Jordan Youth Innovation Forum (Jordan) and United Nations Association of Serbia (Serbia), will lead an exciting new project, called YES! (Youth Empowered and Skilled) which is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme.
This project aims at strengthening the employability and skills of 60 young people facing vulnerability or forced mobility from Lebanon, Jordan, Portugal and Serbia, through non-formal and informal educational activities.
The YES! Project includes a one-week in-person training programme to be held in the Fall 2021 in Portugal and the development of a social impact project by the young participants involved. A call for applications will be launched in April 2021.
The YES! project builds upon the challenges that young people face to thrive in life following the global pandemic COVID-19 and will help them to identify their needs, gaps and the challenges to build up a better future. Framed by the SDGs Agenda and the two Global Compacts for Refugees and Migrants endorsed by the European Union, the YES! project seeks to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs by focusing on young people unique role as drivers of change. The YES! project is based on the principles of empowerment and participation of young people as active citizens and change-makers.
Keep posted to know more and be involved in YES! Project.
