This new group of students is composed of 39 girls and 16 boys. The students will start the academic year 2018 - 2019 in Portuguese universities after completing an intensive Portuguese language course.
From Syria, they came from Beirut through a humanitarian flight provided by the Portuguese Air Force. A welcoming reception was organised by Sana Metropolitan Hotel in Lisbon.
Their scholarships are funded by Fundação La Caixa / BPI, by ELEVO, by the Al Babtain Foundation and by the Santa Casa da Misericórdia do Porto. They will attend university and polytechnics that are part of the Academic Consortium supporting the GP4SYS.
